Suggest Remedy For Tingling In Lower Arms And Fingers

94 years old, 106 lbs. 5' tall. healthy.bladder polyp removed one week ago, stent left in and it's due out in 3 days.

All was well until this morning woke with a VERY stiff neck. Some diarrhea. Weak. Fever of 101.

Curious symptom since the operation that when urinating no pain in urinating but what I would call a sympathetic symptom of tingling in the lower arms and fingers, very uncomfortable although not PAINfull, lasts about 1/2 minute while urinating then goes away.

Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Possible peripheral neuropathy, due to vit B12 deficiency.
2. However, an X-ray of cervical region, necessary to evaluate for cervical spondylosis.
3. Cervical collar is necessary along with muscle relaxants. Physiotherapy and neck muscle strengthening exercises will be useful, after stiff neck is under control.
4. Also additional vit B12 supplements needs to be taken along with it.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
