Hi,

Sores on the free flap can be due to infection and if it is recurring then you need to consult your Oral Surgeon and get evaluated.

A tongue swab culture can be done to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms and then only you should proceed with the treatment.

For now, you can do warm saline gargles and antiseptic mouthwash gargles.

You can also take a vitamin B complex daily. Avoid any spicy and sour or acidic foods. Avoid hard and sharp foods.

But you should also get it clinically checked by your Physician and get the further treatment done as if there is an infection antibiotic or antiviral medicine can be advised depending on the type of medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
