Suggest Remedy For Poor Bowel Movements

I am 70 years old, 6 feet tall, weigh 161lbs. About 4 months ago I developed stomach cramps and diarrhea that lasted about 2 days. Before this my stools were normal. After my bout of diarrhea I now have thick mud like bowel movements. With these bowel movements I don t completely eliminate my bowels. So, during the day I have leakage. I have to wear a pad in my underwear so that my underwear and outer garment don t have poop stains. What can I do to regain my solid bowel movement?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history And understood your concerns.
Since you are 70 years old your history of changed bowel habits with problem of leakage may be due to some problem like:
Cancer of reactum or colon.
Colitis
Laxity of anal sphincters
Piles and so on.
I would advise you the following things:
Per-rectal examination and proctoscopy.
By a General Surgeon.
Colonoscopy.
Other tests as required.
Tests of stool, blood and urine.
Ultrasound.
This will give the perfect diagnosis and a plan of treatment which can e medical or surgical.
