Hello. I am 47 yr old femail experiencing strong pain in the location of my left ovary. After having an ectopic/surgery 10 years ago, I have always had pain here just before/during my period that is usually managed fine with Advil. This month the pain is not going away and is very consistent for two days now. Thinking I may need an ultrasound?
Left-sided pain in the area of ovaries can be due to an ovarian cyst, ureteric colic, or urinary infection. Urine analysis and culture, and pelvic Ultrasound are required at this point to come to a conclusion. So please follow up with the urgent care or emergency room as soon as possible.
