Suggest Remedy For Low Lying Placenta At 24 Weeks Of Pregnancy

Hi!My name is Arti and i am 24 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound in which its shows the placenta is posterior ,low lying , reaching up to the internal os, grade 0 and seeing the report my doctor told me that i should be preapre for c section which i dont want .what can be done so that i my placenta should move up

hi,
I understand your concern.
low lying placenta reaching internal os is a condition to be taken care of in pregnancy as well as delivery.
In case it is not overlapping plancenta , though it has very little chances of reseeding back- you have to be careful & observing by USG as per doctor's advise.
Only if it reseeds, you have a chance of normal delivery,otherwise
- Take a comparative rest, avoid hard work/straining till your full term.-for slightest disturbance of placenta may cause separation of placenta & bleeding - hazardous to both, baby & mother.
- Surgical treatment is only option for delivery. because, during normal delivery, there is risk of sever bleeding & risk to mother & baby both.
So be patient & observing. accept the advise by your doctor.
