Suggest Remedy For Intense Lower Back Pain In Pregnancy

I am 8 weeks pregnant and having intense lower back pain, specific to the right right side only. It's been going on for 3-4 days, but the past 2 days, some surges of pain make me double over and want to scream. I called my Dr. and they just told me to take Tylenol and lay on a heating pad for a few hours. This doesn't seem like a fix to me, will only cover up the symptoms temporarily. This is my 3rd pregnancy. What should I do?
