Suggest Remedy For Heavy Periods When On Yaz Pills
Hi, I m 18 years old and I am on the yaz pill for heavy periods. I started my period 4 weeks ago and it hasn t stopped at all yet. I also had sex about 5 weeks ago but used protection. Is there any way I could be pregnant? I m very tired lately but I put that down to anaemia which I have had before. I went to the doctor today and he put me on primolut (norethisterone) 5mg 3 times a day for 10 days. How long will it be before I stop bleeding?

Suggest Remedy For Heavy Periods When On Yaz Pills
Hello, If you have been using the hormone pills for more than three cycles, you did not need additional protection when you had the sexual intercourse. With the norethisterone medication you have been prescribed, you should be able to see lesser bleeding in 2-3 days of initiation of treatment. Use of styptics alongside has proven to be of some help in accentuating the process of arresting the bleeding. The tiredness is more likely to be due to anemia and hypoproteinemia as a result of prolonged blood loss. However, your thyroid profile and blood sugar levels also should be checked to see if any treatment is needed. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
