Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As per the signs described by you i confer that its a case of hyperparathyroidism. There are many causes and types of hyperparathyroidism. Some are trivial while other are very critical. I suggest you get a thorough clinical examination along with appropriate investigations. As far as hollow vertebrae are concerned they are an indicator of osteopenia, which is curable, bit we need to rule out other severe concerns first.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rohan Shanker Tiwari, Orthopedic Surgeon
