Suggest Remedy For A Severe Swelling In The Scrotum
my partner had to go to hospital last night for severe scrotal swelling which they believe to be due to trauma caused at the gym to a pre-existing varicocele. he is seeing a GP tomorrow and i want to know whether there is any benefit in him asking to have a semen sample frozen re future fertility? He is 28 and has had the varicocele for several years but we didn't realise it could be significant until now. thank you

A very good question and though by very few people.
Yes it is prudent to have semen frozen, but I worry about it as he has varicocele for a long time as per your history and how can one really be sure that he has not already suffered from oligospermia (less in number) or the abnormal forms.
Also important is the get an urgent ultrasonography and color doppler so that the proper diagnosis be made and urgent surgery done if need be as the veins go on oozing.
