OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and here are the answers: 1. Firstly, please make sure that the pregnancy has been clinically and sonologically confirmed. 2. If there is no response after the initial medication, the dosage will have to be repeated. 3. Alternatively, you can also go for the surgical evacuation along with a follow up after two weeks which includes a repeat trans-vaginal sonogram to detect retained products. 4, The pregnancy cannot be continued since the medication used to induce the abortion can create birth defects. 5. Positive pregnancy test can still be seen for 3-4 weeks even after a successful abortion. This is because the hormones take time to come back to the non-pregnant level. A sonogram is more useful. Hope this helps.
