Suggest Medicine For Cold And Throat Pain During Breast Feeding

Sir,

My wife (37) is suffering from cold and throat pain. Is it safe to take azithromycin or Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium during breat feeding to two & half month baby. Is there any better medicine which can prescribed in such conditions.

Hi,

Azithromycin once a day along with paracetamol after food and anti-allergic medicine over the counter Cetirizine after dinner would be all right. She should take rest. Inhalation of vapor and saline gargles would help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
