Suggest Medications For Knee Inflammations In Children
Hi there my 9yr 9mth old son is having bad knee pain and has been suffering with it for the last 8mths. He has had a knee and hip xray with inflimation on the knee showing. What treatment could be used to correct this so he no longer suffers with the pain? Thanks

I think first you need to get MRI of the knee joint to confirm the diagnosis. If there is any synoviyal effusion or any cartilage damage is seen. Also he may need a synoviyal biopsy. If it shows that there is rheumatoid arthritis then treatment can be done accordingly, You should also get his blood investigations like ESR, CRP and Ra factor to check this .
