friday 1/24/14. I started taking a z pack due to a severe sore throat, hacking cough and 102 fever I am allergic to pennicillin and have not had the flu shot since my parents became very sick each year after taking it. I could barely swallow, I am 64 yrs old and an RN in Pre adm testing. I spent the entire weekend lying on our couch, taking my z pak, ibuprofen, day quil and nyquil. On monday I went to work with the worst sore throat in my life which was so iritated from a hacking cough, I spit up blood on four occasions on the weekend (hemoptysis) as soon as I informed my Dr. He ordered a chest xray stat--which came out normal. Today on the way home from the hospital, my fingers became numb and thawed out after four hrs. I have been living on tea, honey and water and cough drops. I have a 99 temp, my throat hurts terribly and I took my dentists med of tylenol # 3--since yesterday, I also have and abdominal rash and sore throat I take daily, micardis, bystolic and paxil
