Suggest Medication For High Fever

My daughter aged 1.4 years has constant fever since yesterday and we have been giving her calpol 5 ml dosage every 5 hours. The fever is ranging between 101 and 104 degrees. Since last four hours it's not going down below 103degrees. Should we give ibugesic to her and what dosage ? And also, should we stop carpool if ibugesic is given ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can give capol and ibuprofen together. The dose for ibuprofen is 10 mg/kg and this can be given every 8 hours. Tepid baths may also help bring her temperature down.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Karl Logan
