I've been trying for baby over 2 years, I diagnosed PCOS, My doctor put me on clomid and I have completed first cycle of clomid, on 11 day scan follicle(vaginal scan) only 8mm, Is it(clomid) working for me??
Can I start taking M2Tone and timing for M2tone as well because 2-6 days I take clomid??

Hi,

Polycystic ovarian syndrome presents with features like irregular menstrual periods, anovulation, sometimes infertility due to reproductive hormonal imbalance and insulin resistance. Clomid containing Clomiphene Citrate helps in induction of ovulation. According to your ultrasound finding 8 mm of dominant follicle at 11th today may indicate delayed ovulation or inadequate dosage of Clomiphene Citrate. By continuing follicular study and alternative days the growth of the dominant follicle can be monitored.

Further treatment can be planned according to the findings. If needed in the next cycle, you can double the dose of Clomiphene Citrate with your doctor's advice. According to the manufacturers of M2 tone, it is an Ayurvedic syrup, which helps in regularization of ovulation. But better to use any medicine only after consulting with your gynecologist, who knows your clinical condition better.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
