My period is due today.i have slight temperature cold and sneezing for past week. Also very tired returning from normal work hours. Past couple of days frequent urination. And in past week had white clogging and wet fluid in vagina. I did pregnancy test today morning which turn out be negative. I am on irregular cycle, without taking medicines. Had thyroid issues, but everything was normal when I did complete check up during last august. Is there any possibility that I am pregnant? Do I need to take care anythin in diet or routine?
Hi, Since you have history of irregular cycles, it is difficult to predict when you have ovulated. In the current scenario, you cannot rely on home pregnancy test. The better alternative is to get an assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres, which is an earlier and definite way of confirmation/exclusion of pregnancy. Infections can delay a period, and you may need blood counts and urinalysis also. A trans-vaginal sonogram after a week and after getting the other investigations helps to clarify the situation. Hope this helps.
