Suggest Cause And Remedy For High Blood Pressure
My blood pressure was reading 140/90 then by the afternoon reading 163/101. I stopped taking my Loestrin 24FE (birth control) two weeks ago and my readings were looking better 135/90, but now seem to be creeping back up 140/112 this morning. Yesterday afternoon was 153/101? I can tell when it is up because I do not feel so great. I am 38 years old and get out of breath from going up and down basement steps to do laundry. My husband wants me to start taking a low dose 25mg waterpill. The only other meds that I take is an allergy pill (Claritin only as needed, it is not in my system all the time. Would the birth control still be in my system and causing this high BP?

- first of all ma'am Loestrin don't make any blood pressure fluctuations.
- Golden rule in blood pressure checking is never measure your Blood Pressure when you are in stress , anxious, after extortion all work because it will always be a little high than your normal BP
- Measure Your BP minimum for 15 days and make a flow chart . Do check your BP when you are relaxing for 10-15 minutes. Get back to me with the BP chart then we will decide the further step.
- Do monitor your shortness of breath , when does this happens , for how long duration
- your height and weight also
- Don't start with any of anti hypertensive drugs as for now
