1. As thalessemia is a type of 'hemoglobinopathy' requiring regular blood transfusion, [this pathology is characterized by decreased Hemoglobin production and red blood cell (RBC) survival and cause of regular lowering of hemoglobin] and since age is 2 years I won't recommend any alternate line of treatment but will ask to observe for any immediate or late adverse effects:

2. since she is receiving blood transfusion from 2010, thus immediate effects like allergic reactions, fever, congestive heart failure can be excluded but one has to watch for these signs regularly under Pediatric supervision and follow ups.
. late effects with blood transfusion is/are blood transmitted infections like HIV or Hepatitis C infections. [screening should be regular]
. regular blood transfusions lead to progressive iron accumulation because of inadequate excretory pathways resulting in increased serum transferrin saturation [iron overloading] which is responsible for generating reactive oxygen species causing tissue damage, organ dysfunction, and death. [iron chelation therapy will be required]

3. since she is getting specific treatment [blood transfusion] thus she could be suffering from B thalessemia major, thus one should also look for extreme pallor, jaundice, failure to thrive [accompanied by poor feeding, irritability, decreased activity, and/or increased somnolence.

PS. Other complications related and un-related to transfusion develops as the disease progresses, these include most commonly hepatomegaly,
splenomegaly and growth retardation.

4. Ayurveda treatment may help to extend the life of the transfused red blood cells, but is not a replacement for blood transfusion, so do transfuse when required.
