Suggest OTC Medication For Diarrhea And Vomiting Along With Cold And Hot Flashes
Hello, ever since yesterday my girlfriend has been experiencing diarrhea and vomiting that would come without warning. She also has been have hot and cold flashes during the night. I was wondering what non prescription medicines might help (perferbly liquid because she can t swallow pills) also, what should she be drinking and eating? So far all she has had to drink is water but I thought maybe ginger ale or Gatorade might help, also she has had nothing to eat since she started puking and I didn t know if anything might help her vomiting and diarrhea go down.

Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Diarrhea and vomiting which has not stopped needs a proper evaluation as till the vomiting does not stop the patient can not take anything orally as it will just come out in vomiting and the patient can go into dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and further complications about liver and kidneys.
Cold and hot flushes indicate intestinal infection with septicemia which needs urgent evaluation by a Doctor, investigations of the stool and blood and proper prescription based antibiotics, metronidazole, PPI like Omeprazole and so on as needed.
May need intravenous fluids, electrolytes and antiemetic to stop vomiting.
Once hte vomiting stops she can certainly try boiled and cooled water with electrolyte solutions,, other liquids, banana, curd and rice along with oral medications till she is cured.
Do not try anything at home if the vomiting is persistent.
