Suffers From Debilitating Pelvic Pain. Suspected Pudendal Nerve Neuralgia With Levator Spasm, Inflammation In Genitals. Treatment?

My son suffers from debilitating pelvic pain and has been ruled out for everything. The thought is he has Pudendal nerve neuralgia with Levator spasm causing inflammation in his genitals. We are looking for a doctor to turn to that can treat this. We have spent thousands of dollars trying to find him relief. Where can we turn now for this horrible condition? He is only 22 and has suffered for almost 2 years now. I hope this site is not a scam where I will then have to delete my email address.

Hi and thanks for the query,

I think the opinion of a nuerosurgeon could be most welcome under these circumstances. Surgical resection of specific nerves could be helpful. This should be done with lots of care for fear of risk of other complications like sphincter dysfunction.

Acupuncture could be useful under these circumstances. I suggest you consult an acupuncture specialist as you seek the opinion of a neurosurgeon. Thanks and kind regards.
