Suffering From Typhoid And Jaundice

Dear Honourable doctor, my son(12 years old) had suffered from typhoid(1:320) and treated 7 months ago. Since then after fever subsides he had been suffering with low fever at nights. Recently he is suffering from vomitings after eating and drinking with little amount. We consulted a Gastroenterologist, he after done endoscopy diagnosied with lax in GE junction and was treating. 10 days my son took junk food and immediately he got fever and again he got typhoid with 1:80 and was treating by local doctor and 3 days back he got janudice with 5.9. What all these indicate?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
According to your history, your son got infected with typhoid gor which he has been treated with antibiotics.
Currently he had vomiting due to lax gastrointestinal junction.
The lax gastrointestinal junction leads to reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus and mouth.
This reflux is responsible for vomiting and reflux.
Lax gastrointestinal junction is treated by surgical repair to prevent the reflux of contents back into the esophagus.
Jaundice is caused by increase in level of bilirubin.
This could be due to damage to hepatocytes or obstruction at the level of extrahepatic biliary apparatus.
You need to get an ultrasound abdomen to look for the status of the extrahepatic biliary tract.
The reappearance of typhoid needs to be treated with appropriate antibiotics.

Thanks and take care
