Suffering From Cold And Pressure In Ears. Stiffness In Neck And Dizziness. Is It An Ear Infection?

I had a cold for a couple weeks. During the cold had a lot of pressure in my ears. The cold is now over and I have been feeling very dizzy for about a week. It is worse when I turn my head or stand up. I also have a stiff feeling in my neck . Do you think I could have an ear infection? My ears do not hurt right now. Or could a sore neck be causing this?

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

Dizziness can be due to abnormal changes in the internal ear, which help to maintain the equilibrium of the body. Cervical spondylosis can also result in dizziness.

You should take Betahistine 16 mg thrice a day along with giving rest to your body.

I would suggest you to have following :-
1. ENT checkup
2. MRI head and neck
3. Blood sugar levels
4. Blood pressure monitoring

Avoid using a thick pillow. Avoid movements which increases your dizziness.
If the problem persists, contact your doctor immediately.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
