Suffered From Lungs TB. Have Cough, No Control On Urine, Weakness. Repeat TB ?
My mother suffered from lungs TB. After treatment he is fine. But he got cough her cough is not under control. when she is starting cough then she has no control on urine .Doctor said that she is all right but have weakness. I want to know that TB can repeat again? What precautions i should take for her and what is good diet for her? plz tell me about that how can deliverance from cough?

yes tb can be repeated again
for that your mother needs to have sputum for AFB tests for 2 occassions.
along with this a chest x-ray (PA view) needs to be done.
even if sputum for AFB negative radiology if suspected needs to start cat 2 anti-tubercular therapy
even radiology is normal, sputum mycobacterial culture and tb DNA PCR needs to be done.
precautions include 1. keep her in a well ventilated room, 2. use separate utensils for her, 3. keep the sputum in a separate container, 4. avoid overcrowding in her room, 5. follow the treatment schedule properly, 6. if any complication arises during treatment seek medical attention immediately
diet should be nutritious, rich in protein and calorie, avoidance of spicy food etc. usually there is no dietary restriction unless any complication arises or associated diabetes mellitus is there.
after proper diagnosis treatment with proper anti-TB drugs will releive her cough. otherwise you may also try ambroxol, guaphenasine cough syrup.
