Still's Disease. Prescribed Wysolone. Tapering Dosage. Stomach Upset, Headache, Pain In Limbs, Weakness. Is This Normal?

Hi, I am 29 years old female suffering from still's disease. I have been prescribed with wysolone. Initially I started with 50 mg n slowly over the period of 6 months, the dose has been tapered down to 7.5 mg. Now I am taking 7.5 mg from last 4 days. I am having sore throat from past 2 days and not able to swallow anything. Can it be due to lowering the dose?also, I want to know if the side effects of wysolone will start dimishing as I lower the dose? Because every time I lower the dose , there comes a new set of problem. Sometimes it's stomach upset, sometimes headaches, pain in joints, weakness in lower limbs. Is it normal to have these problems with tapering of dose?

Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
Sore throat is not due to tapering the steroid.
Throat pain is due to infection of throat mostly with a virus.
Lowering steroid as per the tapering schedule has no side effects.
The symptoms you have described could be due to other reasons.
If the pain persists consult the doctor for the examination of throat and to advise medication.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
