Sporadic Twitching On Eye, Occurring Every Few Minutes, No Changes In Diet. Treatment?

What would be the potential causes for an onset of sporadic twitching in one s (left) eye that typically lasts for several seconds and results in focus being lost and a hard time in reacquiring focus until the twitching subsides? The twitching has been occuring every few minutes for the past week without any significant changes (if any) in stress , caffeine/alcohol consumption, and diet .

Hi..
Welcome to HCM.. Thanks for the query..
Is the eye getting totally closed or just twitching?
It could be an essential blepharospasm where you have an involuntary closure of eyes..It can range in severity from fine twitches to total closure of the eye affecting the vision...
Depending on the severity and symptoms botox injections can be given to relieve the spasm..
Or twitchings can be because of stress also.. because of excessive near work or computer use.. Take some simple measures like voluntary blinking of eyes, regular breaks in between work, using artificial tear drops etc.,
Hope this information helps you.. Take care...
