Soreness, Inflammed And Red Vagina After Having Intercourse. Reason?

Hi recentley in the last month every time me and my partner have intercourse (only after never during) my vagina feels very sore and my partner says it looks quite inflamed and red, the day after it is fine and does not look red. I have been sexually active with my partner for over 6 months and its only this past month this problem has been occuring. What could be the issue ?

Hi and thanks for the query,

it might be important to know if this is the first time you are experiencing this or if it is a recurrent phenomenon. This is particular important in order to assess any predisposing conditions and treatment conditions that have maybe been attempted in the past.,

Rough sex or penetration under conditions of inadequate lubrication of the vaginal or sexual excitement or foreplay can explain traumatic inflammatory lesions and soreness. Sexual discharge should be checked. If present, an infection could be a possibility. However, I suggest you consult your primary care physician. kind regards.
