Sore On Lips, Dehydration, Painfull, Took Lysine 100mg, Valtrex 1mg, Water Pills. Suggestion?

I have sores on my upper and lower lips, I have been taking Lysine, 1000mg, twice a day for 2 months. Also have taken Valtrex 1gram, 1 tablet, every 12hrs. Have had these sores for 5 months, I do tiathlons, don't know if its dehydration or to much sodium in my sysytem. have taken water pills to no avail. Very painful. Am on Androgel for testosteron leow level.

Painful sores on lips (which tend to recurrent) are most likely due to Herpes simplex virus, for which you require around 2 weeks' course of an anti-viral drug.

Consult your doctor to re-examine you and prescribe anti-viral medicine.
