Hi Ggauvin,
Thanks for writing your query.

Let me first assure you that every pain and discolouration in mouth is not suggestive of cancer.

After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms are suggestive of inflammation in your gums as a result of some injury- which can be even due to eating or drinking some hot food or drink.

Reddish brown spot can be due to hemorrhage under the skin as a result of the injury.
Black spot may indicate an old hemorrhage.

You should avoid hard, spicy and irritating foods.
It will heal in due course of time.

You should get your oral cavity examined by a dentist to rule out any other pathology.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.

dear friend.
thanks for sharing your concern.

don't worry.it is sure, you don't have any cancer, as you don't have any such symptoms. wishing you good health, now i will explain you what you actually have in your teeth.

you have gum problem , that is periodontal abscess or it could be related to teeth that is periapical abscess , that is why you have soreness.

if it is periodontal abscess it is because of poor oral hygiene, deep pockets and infection to gum tissues.

if it is periapical abscess it could be due to a cavity (decay) of your upper molar , which has progressed and has led to periapical infection.

for this you must visit your dentist and get an xray done.

on evaluation of your oral cavity (mouth) and xray exact diagnosis can be made.

after that you can start the treatment accordingly (either for gums or for teeth).

meanwhile use chlorhexidine mouthwash 2% twice daily for a week this will reduce your oral infections.

also do warm saline rinses frequently to localize the infection.

for your pain you can take tab combiflam 5oo mg every six hourly for three days.

hope it helps.
for further query you can contact me through my profile.
take care thanx

Have you got your wisdom teeth erupted? or is it still impacted?
The brownish spot on gums may be due to-

Gingivitis

I would suggest you to get a thorough clinical as well as radiological examination.

Impacted teeth has to be treated-extracted or flap overlying teeth has to be incised.

Deep scaling and root planning has to be done.
MALALIGNED teeth has to be corrected with orthodontic appliances.

Antibiotics -analgesics has to be taken as per doctor's prescrpition.

hi and welcome ,

Swelling in the gums with appearence of red or white spots shows the gingival inflammation leading to formation of gingival abscess .

It is caused due to poor oral hygiene , accumulation of bacterial plaque and calculus deep in the gum pockets and root surfaces of the teeth that leads to infection and formation of abscess which appears as gum boil .

i would suggest you to consult a dentist and get the examination done , get a X RAY if needed.
if it is gum abscess it can be curretted and drained followed by scaling and root planing of the teeth.

Oral cancer is a chronic condition an needs clinical evaluation for confirming it . so please get the examination done.

i hope this helps ,

take care.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
soreness may be due to infection, or some irritation.
Avoiding excessive alcohol and tobacco use can greatly reduce the risk of most oral cancers. Smoothing rough edges from broken teeth or fillings is another preventive measure.
maintain good oral hygiene, that includes regular examinations and thorough home care, including daily home fluoride applications
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
Regards

Soreness in the mouth can be due to infection and inflammation, due to poor oral hygiene there is accumulation of plafue and calculus deep in the gum pockets and root surfaces leading to formation of abcesses and gum boils.

Hello there ,

Thanks for writing your query,

According to your clinical history i suspect you have developed a gum boil or gingival abscess in relation to the last molar .

It is caused due poor oral hygiene ,improper brushing and flossing that leads to accumulation of bacterial plaque and calculus deep in the gum pockets and root surfaces of the teeth.

It presents with symptoms of redness , bleeding gums , swelling , pain
.
It needs to be treated by thorough professional deep scaling of gums and root planing of the teeth to remove all the irritants ,this will help in resolving the symptoms followed by a course of antibiotic and analgesics.

i would suggest you to go for symptomatic treatment at home like gargling with lukewarm saline water or antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine or betadine.

do not worry , such lesion cannot be associated with cancer.

i hope this helps ,

take care.
