Sore, Itchy Limbs With Bruising After Suffering Insect Bites A Month Ago. What Could This Be?

Hi, 6 months ago I had 5 insect bites (I think) these were itchy but nothing more than normal bites would cause and it was summertime. A month or so later I started getting severe itching all over my legs and now my arms and thighs. These have now started to bruise easily when untouched and are sore.I have seen various doctors and nobody seems to know what it is. I have tried every type of antihistamine, scabies cream, eurax, fuciden, fucibet, all
Penicillins (these made me sick and my body rejected them. A few weeks ago I had constipation but now the opposite is happening, I'm also experiencing night sweats. I'm waiting to see a dermatologist. Please help?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for bruising after suffering insect bites. In your query you have not mentioned your age, sex and other relevant details so that the exact cause could be found out.

There can be multiple possibilities of the blisters in your condition. It can be a part of simple folliculitis by bacterial proliferation or may be part of some autoimmune problem which is causing blistering.

A detailed history with proper work up is required to reach to the exact diagnosis. You should meet dermatologist at the earliest so that exact diagnosis can be made.

Do not try to pinch or pop the blister as can get secondarily infected and further complications.

Hope these information will relax you.

Take care.
