Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Public Forum

Your wife has already multiple medical morbidities and is on multiple medications. Loss of appetite can be symptom of hypothyroidism itself or Depression due to hypothyroidism.

In my view repeat her Serum TSH level. It is not good to give sorbitol in current state.

Apart from that discuss your current physician if her current medical problems under control or change is needed in existing medications.

I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
Wish you Good Health.
