Small Sack Hanging From The Airway Side Of Tonsils, Yellowish White Spec On It Filled With Blood. Any Ideas ?

i have a small sack hanging from the airway side of my tonsils, about the size of a tictac, maybe just a little smaller.. there is a small yellowish white spec on the end of it and it looks to be filled with blood . upot inspecting it with my tooth brush it began to bleed on the bristols of my brush. I have also had a very mild sore throat the last couple of day. Any idea what this might be??

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding some unusual hanging sac from tonsil having yellow spot at the summit and bleeds on touching.

I am suspecting that most probably you are having tonsilar infection and this out growth is nothing but infected hypertrophied follicle.

For diagnosis and treatment point of view you should do-

1- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.

2- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (F & PP).

Till the reports are awaited you may take-

a- Tab Paracetamol.

b- Anti allergic.

c- Warm saline gargling.

d- Adequate liquid orally.

I hope this will help you but such situation recurs or you does not feel better than consult an ENT doctor for operation.
