Small Firm Lump Felt On Baby's Rib Cage. Had Cold, Fever. Is This Lymph Node?

Hi, I noticed a small firm lump (feels similar to a little lymph node) on my 4 months old son s ribcage. It is round/ oval and smaller than a pea. It is located on the left side toward the bottom of the rib cage. He had a cold with a fever recently - could this be a lymph node from this infection? Or what else could it be?

hello.
the small lump you described is probably a small lymph node. unless it is getting bigger and shows signs of redness, swelling, pain or discharge, you need not worry. take care.
