Should The Medication Be Started For The HbA1C Reading Of 6.6?

I recently had my HbA1C done and the reading was 6.6. My doctor has advised me Amaryl - 1M once daily before BF and Cetapin XR 500mg - 1 daily after dinner. He has also given Storvas - 1 after dinner, even though I am yet to be diagnosed with cholesterol. Please advise as to how I should proceed.

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Statins (Storvas) are routinely prescribed for all Diabetics – even with normal cholesterol levels…
Because Diabetes is a risk factor for heart attack
Statins not only reduce cholesterol, but also have effects beyond cholesterol

You also need Life Style changes like Diet & Exercise / no tobacco or alcohol

You need to know your sugar levels to adjust the drugs for Diabetes…

Take care
Good luck
