Should I Go For Hysterectomy Instead Of Other Invasive Procedures?

I am a 60 year old woman with history of endometriosis. Have had no menstrual cycles for 20 years but in the last two weeks have been experiencing pelvic aching and thigh aching type pain. Ob-gyne dr ran pap smear which was cleAR, but sonogram showed small ovarian cyst and thickend endometrial tissue. When she attempted to to a endometrial biopsy, I had stenosis of cervix and she was unable to get a sample of cells. She has scheduled a D&C and laparoscopy procedure to get tissue sample to check for cancer. If the cells are cancerous she will send me to a specialist for surgery. Would it be more prudent to just go ahead and do the hysterctomy and bypass the less invasive procedure since I will likely have to have it anyway? Also in the last few days I have had an unusual amount of gas. Could that be due to the pain pills I aM TAKING (Tramadol)?
