Should I Continue Taking The Hormones?

I have been taking birth control and I am sexually active, my period started on day 21 but it s a 28 day pack. Should I continue taking the hormones or should I start taking the sugar pills? Also if I start taking the sugar pills, right when my period ends should I move on to my next months hormones?

Based on your history the response to your question is as follows.
1. No, The day your period starts is day 1 of contraceptive pills.
2. You should not take sugar pill, you need to get on with the next months hormone pills.
3. If sugar pills are used, contraception will fail and alternate physical methods like condom, etc should be used to avoid conception.
4. It will take time, but your periods will get regularized with contraception. Continue as advocated. Start with the first hormonal pill on day of starting of period.
