I saw a chiroprator for left leg pain.He pressed deep into my left colon.2 times. We heard a "pop." I felt pain. Durning the office visit he adjusted myme, arches to neck. The next day I had pain under my left rib cage. The pain has continued under my left rib area for 18days. Should I see my famly doctor? I am 69 years old, other than occasionall back pain, very healthy. Thanks Fawn

Hi,

I would like to suggest you that you should do certain things prior to see a doctor.
1. Take deep breath and exhale forcefully: If there is pain in rib cage or difficutlty taking up deep breath: Rib fracture likely : see doctor urgently
2. See if you have pain in ribs while you cough or sneez : Rib fracture likely : see doctor
3. Is there any weakness, pale skin or black couloured stool after that: See doctor immediately
4. If no such symptoms and pain doesn't subside after 3-4 days more : see doctor.
