My dear friend ,so to say taking protein powder really does not do much help in case of slip disc.what you have to do is start a home regimen of physiotherapy consisting of back muscle strengthening exercise.it will ease your pain.also you have to be care in not stretching or bending forward too much.then sitting in same position for long hours puts pressure in the vertebral column.so continuous sitting is to be avoided.in this way you can be free of pain and lead a complete healthy life.my best wishes for you.
