Should I Be Worried If My Fetal Movement Is Reduced?
I am 20 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Ive been feeling my baby move for about 4-6 weeks but after out gender scan last week he has had a dramatic decrease in movement. He still moves but not as much, should I be worried at all since movement have been constant for so long?
Hi, Thanks for the query. In early weeks of pregnancy baby movements will be like flickering movements. They may not be appreciated sometimes. In first pregnancy usually baby movements will be better appreciated after 22 weeks. And movements of the baby may not be the same through out the day. So you try to follow this: -Calculate baby movements in one hour after breakfast, in one hour after lunch and in one hour after dinner. If this count comes above 15, that can be considered as normal. Take adequate nutritious diet, water and sufficient rest. Take care.
