Severe Rectal Pain. Reason?

I am experiencing sever retal pain. It only occurs at the end of my period but it is getting worse. I have experienced the pain for a couple of years but usually it only lasted 10 mins at the most. It is now lasting hours. I am 42 years old, have never been pregnant and have a very regular cycle. Do you know what the cause could be?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Actually pain is around anus (or in anus).
In my opinion this pain may be due to hemorrhoids or fistula in anus.
However it may be a coincidence that pain is associated with menstrual cycle.
In my opinion consult a surgeon and get his opinion .
Good luck.
