Seeing Green Tint From Eyes After Waking Up, Had Retinal Detachment Months Ago. History Of High BP, Physic Problems. What Is The Cause?
Hi there. My husband is complaining of seeing a green tint from both eyes when he wakes up. He has a history of high blood pressure and is taking psych meds. I am concerned since had a retinal detachment about six months ago, but only in one eye. I have seen several complaints like this online, but so far no explanation.
Hello, It seems like you are husband is having hazy vision which he is appreciating as green tint. This can be because of vitreous opacities which may follow following surgeries of the retina. Since when he sleeps the opacities tend to be dispersed and when we wakes up these get settled down, thus explaining the complaints seen only in the morning after he wakes up. And because of seeing through the opacities he is likely to have these symptoms.
This can be part of post operative state following surgery. However I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist once for the examination to know the postoperative status.
Thank you
