Scan During Pregnancy Shows Bleeding. Taking Dicynone. Meaning?
Hello Doctor, My wife is in 10th week of pregnancy. She had a scan last week. Doctor said everything is fine apart from bleeding noticed in P/V what does it mean? also she had a spotting since 2 weeks doctors advised to take dicynone 500 She did not find vaginal spotting for past two days. Today she had fertizen injection after one hour she observed light spotting. What exactly is the problem. Thanks

This is a case of threatened miscarriage.
She should not be taking Dicynone. It's a Pregnancy Category C & Studies in pregnant women or animals are not available. Therefore, as a precaution, Dicynone 500 should not be given to pregnant women during the first trimester, progesterone supplements are a better option.
My strong recommendation is to consult another Gynecologist & take a second opinion.
Meanwhile, she should take rest & avoid sex.
