Rib Contusion After Being Hit Under Sternum, Pain Below Rib Cage While Breathing. Advice?
I got hit just below my sternum in my upper abdominal region 11 days ago and I m still in pain. I received workman s comp and went to the ER last Thursday and they said I have a rib contusion. But the most pain is just below my rib cage. I have pain when I take a deep breath or when I try to reach for something. What should I do?

Did you get an X-ray done? Or an MRI?
What were the findings?
If both were normal, then there is nothing to worry as the pain would disappear within a few days as soon as the contusion heals.
It is advisable to restrict movements and take adequate rest.
