Red, Warm, Extremely Painful Left Ear Cartilage. Should I Take Antibiotics?
The cartilidge around my left ear, the upper part, is red, warm and extrememly painful. I have no pain inside my ear or history of ear infections. This has happened in the past, I always thought from sleeping on it funny, and gone away the next day. But it is day 3 with no improvement. Do I need antibiotics or something?

dear, As per the history and clinical picture you have elaborated it seems you are suffering with Perichondritis ( Infection of Cartilage) of Pinna(ear). You need urgent broad spectrum oral antibiotic. and analgeshisics. if this is recurring again and again then you need to get the random blood sugar checked .
