Can Otoplasty Be Done At The Age Of 17?
Hi, I m a 17 year old girl who is graduating Grade 12 this year. I have been wanting to have otoplasty for over 5-6 years now, and neither my mother or myself have been able to afford it. I have been teased about it plenty of times in the past, and I wish I could just get this surgery done-- I wouldn t ask for anything more. Depending on which area/country I am in, is there any payment options that I can follow after or before surgery? Sorry if I sound silly... this is the first time I ve discovered this website, and the first time asking questions over the internet. Thank you in advance.

Yes, 17 is the proper age to have otoplasty.
Till then you can try the external devices to have a camouflage and be teased less, increase morale and self esteem.
Otoplasty is usually done in stages hence you have to consult an ENT Surgeon or a Plastic Surgeon in your area to discuss in detail the stages, the fees, the care to be taken and all.
The choice of stages and procedure depends upon the experience and expertise of every surgeon dealing in such cases.
