Red Blotchy Skin, Burning Sensation, No Itching. Causes And Treatment?

This morning when I woke I had red blotchy skin ( not a raised rash however) all over my body. Heat tends to make it burn . I just washed dishes with hot water and my fingers feel like I just dealt with jalapeƱos or halbanera peppers. Other than heat activated burning there are no other symptoms. It doesn t itch or anything. I can t think of anything I ve eaten or done differently than normal in the last couple days.

Hello,
I have gone through your concern.

Red blotchy skin can be result of many factors like an allergic reaction to medications, foods or insect bites.
All-over rash can be caused by Contact dermatitis which occurs with the contact of allergens like soaps, cosmetics, any particular dust, etc with the skin.

Most rashes will go away within a few days, especially if they were caused by an allergy or illness.

Also stress is the factor that can cause generalized rash on body.

Viral infection like Additionally diseases such as chicken pox, measles and rubella can cause a rash but they are usually accompanied by a fever.

If a patient comes to me with such rashes I would take complete history, would have proscribed him antihistamine tablet like Leo cetirizine- 10mg,once a day and see the progress of rash.

In your case you can wait for a day to see the progress of rash,

If it is progressing dont wait just visit the skin specialist as soon as possible.

Hope you satisfied with answer.

Take care.

hi i had gone through your query and understand your concerns. i would come up with the possibility of ALLERGY-URTICARIA is the cause for your sufferings.

Possible causes include;

-genetic predisposition
-emotional stress
-internal diseases
-physical factors like heat,cold,sun,exertion,pressure,vibrations.
-food and food additives
-Drugs
-insect bites
-intestinal worms
acute urticaria's have a good outlook
-those due to food clear up quickly within few days, and those due to drugs clear up within few weeks.
-the prognosis is good when the specific cause has been established and eliminated.

I hope this is helpful for you, thank you
