Prolonged Menstruation. Taken Etosys And Daflon. Scan Shows No Free Fluid In POD. Medicine?

Dear Sir,

Hello Dr. I got my last Menstrual period on 25.04.2013 and since then i have flow. non stop... i went to dr. and she advised me to take Etosys Tab and Daflon 500mg for 3 to 5 days 3 t abs per day.. till today i completed 3rd day 15 tabs each and the bleeding has continues with clots.. The scan reports are Endometrium 15mm thick ness and Ro vol. is 9ml., Lo vol. is 11ml., (B/L PCO), no free fluid seen in POD. will be very helpful if u advice me as what should be the further course of medication..

Hi,
Your symptoms and your lab reports suggest that you are suffering from endometrial hyperplasia consequent to a probable ovarian cause (PCOD). In such a situation, you would need a course of hormones as styptics would not be of much use alone. I would ask you to see a gynecologist immediately, get a physical exam, rule out local causes, get blood counts and urinalysis and exclude general causes and start treatment with a proper guided course of hormones along with nutritional supplements. You would need further investigation and targeted treatment to get complete relief. You should maintain a healthy body weight. Hope your query is answered. Good luck.
