Pregnant, But Pregnancy Test Came Negative. Had Light Bleeding In Between And HPT Positive But Now Negative. Cause?

I am 2 months pregnant...I took a pregnancy test today just for the heck of it, it came back negative. I did have signs of a period 2 weeks ago but was a very light bleeding/brown discharge not enough to fill up anything (normal for pregnancy during time of period) I then took a pregnancy test after my light period came back positive, but is now showing negative. I have not had any discomfort as if I have had a miscarriage...if I have had one I had no idea. Just wondering if I could still be pregnant or if I lost the baby.

Hi,
You had scanty periods after 1.5 months amenorreoa.This t5ime you say the pregnancy test was +ve. But now after 15 days, it is -ve. In such a condition there are two possibilities-
- The first pregnancy test was a false + ve result. It can happen due to collection of urine sample contaminated container, urine infection or urine mixed with menstrual bleeding.
-The first test result was correct, but the baby stopped growing after that (missed abortion) & so the second test was - ve.
* To clear the confusion, you should go for a trance vaginal sonography.
Depending on the result, your Gynac will advice you for further management.
