Pitting Edema, Mainly In Left Leg, Extreme Fatigue, Chronic Low Fever, No Improvement Seen. Any Ideas ?

I have had pitting edema, mainly in left leg, extreme fatigue, chronic low fever. all for over 2 months now. Went to Dr. today and she did an ekg which she said was normal. Edema does not improve with hours of propping feet and legs up. Sometimes it moves to upper body after propping legs for long periods. Dr. did a CMP, CBC, TSH in April and all were normal. Any ideas?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

If you are having edema in leg then you should get yourself checked for venous incompetency in your lower limb(there are valves in our vessels, these may become incompetent),DVT(Where blockage can be there in vessels). These can be evaluated by some tests from your doctor. He may also order some blood test or DOPPLAR study for this.

Hope this will be helpful.

With best wishes.
