Pimple And Redness In Knee, Pus Filled, Bubbles, Itching. Used Peroxide. Will It Get Better?
I squeezed something that looked like a pimple surrounded by redness on the side of my knee a couple of days ago. I squeezed a little creamish looking stuff and then tried to pull out the rest with a needle and some tweezers but couldn't get it all. I am now "babying" it by constantly spraying with peroxide (at which it bubbles). It is now itching but only bubbles just a little. What should I do? will it heal? (I have no insurance to see a dermatologist)
Hi You have pricked the swelling and removed the contents. If it is simple infection,it will heal by the regular dressing. No need to put hydrogen peroxide constantly. You can put it once a day while applying dressing or cleaning. If it is a sebaceous cyst, the swelling may come again as the cyst wall will be there and it will grow again. Just wait for few days. The status of the swelling will be known. Wish you good health Regards
