Periods Delayed. Trying To Conceive, Taking Folic Acid. Used Condoms During Intercourse. Can Folic Acid Cause Delay?

I am 27 years old. Married for almost 1.6 years. My last periods were on 8 October 2013. I usually get my periods 2 or 3 days earlier. I havent got my periods yet. I would like to y? and I am taking folic acid from past 15 days because I want to get pregnant only after two months. I am worried y dint I get my periods so far? We used condoms during intercourse. Please let me know if folic acid is the cause for my periods to delay?

Hi,
Folic acid is given before & in early stage of conception routinely. It is specially given to avoid possibility of neural tube defect in fetus.
Folic acid has no effect on menses, so it can not be responsible for delayed periods.
Possibility of condom used having been leaked out can not be neglected.It can be either conception or irregular period.
You can have Blood HCG test to have a definate answer.
